Daniel Vega and Diego Vega write, produce and direct together. They have shot their film projects in Lima, their hometown. OCTUBRE (2010), their first feature film, received the Jury Prize in the Official Selection, Un Certain Regard, at the Cannes Film Festival. It was invited to over fifty festivals and recognized with prizes like Best Director Award in Cartagena Film Festival, Young Critics Award at the Mumbai Film Festival or Best Film Award in Croatia. OCTUBRE was released in cinemas in Peru, Germany, Switzerland, France, USA, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, among others. The Vega Brothers have made two short films, INTERIOR BAJO IZQUIERDA (2008) and ALONDRA (2013), and just finished their second feature, EL MUDO (2013), a co-production between France, Mexico and Peru. As a project, EL MUDO was invited to L’Atelier de la Cinéfondation at the Cannes Film Festival 2011, and its world premiere will be in the Official Competition at the Locarno International Film Festival in August 2013.

Diego Vega graduated as an economist and then studied film at the International School of Film and Television in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. He lives in Barcelona where he teaches at the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC).

Daniel Vega currently works as director of publicity in Lima, Peru, working for major domestic clients. He holds a degree in Communications from the European University of Madrid and took a Masters in Business Studies at the University Carlos III of Madrid.
