What is this project all about?
With this campaign we would like to collect €10.000, which help us to pay the screening rights for the 30 movies that will be shown at Lakino 2013 (95% are having its world premiere in Germany). With your support we can make this happen!
As a consolidated project and thanks to its loyal audience, from the 8th to the 13th of October Lakino wants to offer Berlin, the Latin American event that its deserves: a Feature Film Festival.
What is project goal and who is the project for?
Lakino will heat up Berlin during the chilly month of October with a festive explosion of Latin American culture! Be part of it!
For this year edition, we are planning a six-day-festival with a screening of 30 movies from 20 different countries, 36 screenings, 7000 visitors, directors, actors and invited producers. The main events will be: an opening and a closing party, gourmet latinoamericano, conferences and masterclasses, Club Lakino parties, as well as a book fair and art exhibitions.

¨How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
100 % of the money we collect will be used to pay the screening rights of the movies. In case we get an extra money it would be useful to cover other expenses of the festival, such as the monetary prizes, the rent for the cinema, the artistic program, the printing of the catalog and posters, the rent for equipment and logistics costs

Who are the people behind the project?
The Lakino Team (http://www.lakino.com/deutsch/kontakt/postanschrift/) is a multicultural group of 20 young people with plenty of enthusiasm and passion to support art and especially Latin American film.
¨The head of the project is Martin Capatinta, the Festival Director, a Peruvian who has lived in Germany for 11 years now with the purpose to promote Latin American culture. This dream came true four years ago when he decided to carry out the first edition of Lakino. With his motivation, he dragged other people with the same enthusiasm to join this project.
